Studio Glass: Maintaining Brilliance

These directions should be followed to prevent damages and to maintain the object’s brilliant quality:

  • Use Windex, or a conventional window cleaning fluid to clean
  • Dry with a linen cloth (this prevents strands of cloth from collecting over the surface of the glass)
  • Do not place ANY object into a washing machine
  • Be cautious against using strong streams of water when cleaning (the water pressure can damage existing fragile parts of the object)
  • Colors will NOT fade over time, they are permanent and embedded within the glass composition
  • When moving a glass object:
  1. Place and secure both hands underneath the object and lift
  2. When putting down, place your fingers between the object and the flat surface and SLOWLY slide your fingers out from underneath. This is to protect the bottom of the glass from chipping when being placed onto a hard surface
  3. Do not slide the object across any surface as it will scratch the glass
  • If desired, place within a dust-free display case to alleviate excessive dust from collecting over the surface of the glass

There exists a very unique relationship between light and glass. When we allow them to work together, their combined strength creates a new source of energy inevitably realized by the viewer. It is a complimentary relationship between our own spiritual awareness and scientific research.
